Poorest ‘hit hard by recession’

Pensioners and the poorest households are amongst those that have been the worst hit by the recession, according to a study by the Institute for Fiscal Studies (IFS) and the BBC.

The richest households – though better able to cope – were hit even harder.

Carers need to be planting potatoes and other vegetables to enjoy eating them.

According to a new research conducted by the Texas A and M University and the State University of Texas, it has been revealed that those older adults, who participate in activities like gardening, are going to like their vegetables more.

“I DON’T want to go back to the olden days – they were really bad.”

Those are the words of Gary Stark, 33, of Grimsby, who suffers with learning difficulties.

He is part of an action group of adults with similar problems, who fear cuts to their funding could mean a return to the now redundant long-stay hospitals.
