A WEEK of events will highlight and celebrate the contribution that carers make and provide greater support for those unaware of the services and benefits they may be entitled to.
Three in five people will be a carer at some point in their lives, meaning that one day the true face of a carer may be yours.
Carers receive £55.55 per week, the lowest benefit of its kind and only available for those who care more than 35 hours per week, equating to approximately £1.58 per hour.

The delay was revealed in a survey of GPs carried out by MP for Tunbridge Wells, Greg Clark, which also raised concerns about inappropriate referrals.
