The workshops are designed to add energy and fun into learning about business planning and offers people with a disability and those that support them the chance to really develop their business ideas.

TWENTY years of offering support to people with learning disabilities in Warwickshire was celebrated by charity Turning Point at a roller disco at the Sydni Centre in Sydenham.

Staff and service users from centres around the county, along with their families and friends, were joined by the mayor and mayoress of Leamington at the event.

LEARNING disability day services could be taken out of direct council control.

But a long-serving Northumberland carer has spoken of his concerns over the move.

Senior councillors have backed proposals for Northumberland County Council to team up with an external care provider to transform its five day centres and three horticultural skills units into a social enterprise.
