Kind people in Suffolk helping Carers to enjoy a break in the countryside.

CARERS in Brandon will be able to make the most of the town’s country park after a donation from a Suffolk charity.

Suffolk ACRE (Action with Communities in Rural England) donated a mobility scooter to Brandon Country Park on Monday to allow carers to enjoy a break while taking those that they care for with them.

A NATIONAL campaign to improve mental health through gardening was launched by a TV horticulture expert at an allotment site in Portobello this week.

 

Christine Walkden, from BBC’s The One Show, visited Sugar Lane allotments on Wednesday to meet carers from the Wakefield Growing Together group.

A pantomime version of Snow White starring Edward Davey as the eighth dwarf helped raise £3,000 for charity.

The St Paul’s Players in Hook put on the show last December, as well as production of That’s Entertainment in the summer, in aid of the Kingston Young Carers’ Network.
