My disabled daughter has £57 per week to live on

What more is there left to cut in your budget George Osborne?

At the end of June of this year our learning disabled autistic daughter who has a profound developmental delay and behaviours that challenge, has to leave her residential school, where she is currently living, because they can’t manage her needs.

In effect she will be homeless.

The Clinical Commissioning Group have said they will fund her care which will require carers initially so at least she will have someone with her 24 hours a day, but everything else will require benefits.

Free Cakes for Kids

A community service to families, who find it difficult to provide a birthday cake for their child.

The idea behind Free Cakes for Kids is simple: we bake for families, who find it difficult to provide a birthday cake for their child. All cakes are baked 100% by volunteers, who operate locally and independently in their own private kitchens.

Campaigners launch formal complaint against Norfolk County Council

Claims disabled people are losing vital support

A campaign group representing disabled people in Norfolk has submitted a formal complaint over claims an increasing number of disabled and vulnerable people have seen the support they receive cut by Norfolk County Council.
Equal Lives has submitted the complaint to the Care Quality Commission (CQC) urging them to investigate what it claims are systematic failures by those at County Hall and a disregard for its statutory duties under the Care Act.
