Advertising campaign to promote The Co-operative and Procter and Gamble’s fundraising for Mencap
The Co-operative has joined forces with Procter and Gamble (P&G) to raise £300,000 for Mencap and ENABLE Scotland.
For six weeks from Wednesday 3 August, 3p from over 20 P&G brands sold in The Co-operative stores will be donated to the charities. P&G brands include Fairy, Herbal Essence and Pampers.

“Unacceptable delays” for arthritis treatment
People are facing “unacceptably long” delays to receive treatment for rheumatoid arthritis, according to a survey of eight European countries.

It found patients in England waited 21 weeks for treatment, well in excess of the three month “therapeutic window” in which it is best to treat to maximise chances of a good outcome.

This number is set to rise to over a million people with dementia within ten years.
Caring for a loved one with dementia can be a lonely, stressful experience. The feeling of disconnection is hardest to bear.
There may be precious moments of clarity, when memories return and the years roll away, but for the most part carers have to watch their loved ones drifting slowly away.
