CELEBRATIONS will mark the launch of a computer suite for children with special needs by a parents’ and carers’ support group.
Asperger’s Children and Carers Together is holding the event at the Garden and Pavilion Room in St Mary’s Church and Conference Centre, Bramall Lane, on Thursday, January 19.
ACCT was formed in 2006 and provides monthly meetings for parents and carers for children with Asperger’s, social events and day trips, regular drop-in sessions, activity groups for the youngsters and holiday events. There is also an online support service.
The event at St Mary’s will also be a celebration of the group’s work. It has expanded to help more than 220 families across Sheffield.
