REDBRIDGE: Disabled and pensioners to meet bus bosses over complaints

BUS bosses and Transport for London (TfL) will be quizzed by disabled people and pensioners over bus accessibility.

Redbridge Transport Action Group (RTAG) will meet with managers from Arriva, Go Ahead and TfL later this month to discuss their grievances and see how things can be improved.

It claims that equal access is being impeded because drivers stop too far from the kerb for disabled people to get on, wheelchair ramps fail to extend properly and buses pull away before disabled and older people are seated, meaning they fall over.
