The new Care Act will affect Carers In Milton Keynes

From 1st April 2015, the Care Act comes into force and will represent the biggest change to social care in the UK for more than 60 years.
The changes will mean new rights and entitlements to unpaid carers living in Milton Keynes providing care or support to an adult family member, friend or neighbour.
For the first time, unpaid carers will be entitled to assessments of their own needs, regardless of their financial situation, which could result in practical support or a direct payment to make their caring role easier.
