For Mothers caring across the world on Mothering Sunday

Mothering Sunday

Why the MU Cares for Carers

This Mothering Sunday we want to thank all of those people involved in caring in our communities. Mums are not the only people who work tirelessly to care for others, so we want to celebrate and thank all those who care. All MU objectives talk about caring; we all know someone who has cared for us, and we know what a difference it makes to our lives. So how can we say thank you?

You’re never too old to keep in touch (and to sing) over the net!

Mary, who on her 100th birthday received a card from Bear Grylls as well as the Queen, regularly uses Skype to chat to friends and family in America, Australia and New Zealand; aside from telling us tales of her role as a ‘technician’ with the GPO during World War Two fitting and maintaining telephone equipment, she even sang for us.
