The Government has asked the NHS Future Forum to continue a new phase of conversations with patients, service users and professionals following its listening exercise on the proposals to modernise the NHS.

With Mum In Mind is one of a suite of films launched today by The Mental Health Foundation aimed at raising awareness about dementia and the use of self-directed support in helping people with dementia, their families, carers and social care professionals.

The 10-minute film tells the story of Terry, and how self-directed support has helped her mother get the right care to enjoy a more independent life in the comfort of her own home.

A voice recognised by golf enthusiasts all over the globe graced a Norwich golf club last week in the name of charity.

BBC golf commentator Peter Alliss visited Eaton Golf Club on Thursday for its captains’ charity golf day in aid of The Peter Alliss Powered Wheelchair Crusade.

George Makey MBE, the uncle of Eaton Golf Club’s ladies captain, Debbie Halliday, started an initiative to raise money for powered wheelchairs for disabled children in 1975. Mr Alliss has been involved with the charity since the end of the 1970s.
