Bus to help battle against cancer
The Macmillan Cancer Support Mobile Information Service will travel across the county to give people information about tackling the disease.
On Monday, it will be outside the City Museum in Lancaster city centre from 10am until 4pm, before moving elsewhere in the county.
Helen Tuvey, Macmillan lead information support specialist, said: “Our Macmillan information team can answer any concern about cancer, including information about treatments, side effects, benefits advice and what support is available locally. “We’re here for anyone affected by cancer, those with a cancer diagnosis, friends, relatives and carers.” Last year, more than 26,000 people visited the team’s two buses which cover the north of England and the East Midlands.
