Warnings have been issued that some of the most vulnerable people in Norwich will be hit hardest by proposed changes to the welfare and benefit system.
Dozens of charities and organisations came together for a seminar at Norwich City Council yesterday where the potential impact of the coalition government’s Welfare Reform Bill – which will cut £18bn from the welfare budget over the next four years – came under the spotlight.

A promising artist’s suicide has sparked a host of recommendations at a mental health trust nearly a year after his death.
Talented Philip Weeks was known by his friends and family as a loving, caring and charming young man who was always smiling.
He was diagnosed with rapid-cycling bipolar disorder in May 2010 and experienced severe mood swings and suicidal tendencies before he suffocated himself on December 7.

Its story is based on a laboratory study that found that healthy sperm placed under a laptop connected to the wireless internet for four hours, showed less movement and more changes to their genetic code than ‘control’ sperm not near a wi-fi connected laptop.
