Ministers are looking to reform social care
The funding gap for reforming social care in England could be plugged by raiding the NHS surplus or restricting access to benefits such as the winter fuel allowance, experts say.

A group supporting people with Multiple Sclerosis (MS) received a new bus today (Monday) to help provide transport to their weekly day centre in Southrepps.

The north Norfolk branch of the MS Society purchased the bus following a bequest left by Fakenham resident Donald Belsom after his wife was diagnosed with the neurological condition.

The bus will be used to transport members to the day centre, Life and MS (LAMS), which meets every Monday in the village hall and for outings in north Norfolk.

Cuts: Care funding is being slashed across the country

For our most vulnerable pensioners, home care visits are the lifeline that allows them to live with dignity.

Carers help the sick, frail and elderly get up in the morning, get washed, dressed and fed. They also lend a hand with household chores and shopping.
