Carers fear cuts to DLA will ruin lives
Carers told today of their fear at the prospect of having their meagre allowances axed because of cruel Tory welfare reforms.
Among them was Clive Arnold, 54, of Richmondshire, North Yorkshire, who gives round-the-clock care to his wife Christine.
She suffers a range of physical and mental disabilities including the rare congenital neurological disorder Moebius syndrome.
It means she can’t close her eyes or form facial expressions due to complete facial paralysis from birth.
She also suffers from epilepsy and severe depression.
Chronic fatigue syndrome: Brain training is most cost-effective treatment

Exercise and behavioural therapies are the most cost-effective and successful ways to treat Chronic fatigue syndrome, also known as ME, an analysis shows.
A study of 640 patients showed these treatments had the potential to save the economy millions of pounds if they were widely adopted.
The findings were published in the journal PLoS ONE.
However, another treatment favoured by patients’ groups was shown to offer little value.
Nobody knows what causes the condition, yet a quarter of a million people in the UK are thought to have it.
Five-year-old among 1,322 children registered as carers in Lincolnshire
A 5-year-old is among 1,322 children and young people registered as carers in Lincolnshire.
The figures have been released by Lincolnshire County Council in response to a freedom of information request.

United: Isabelle Bull, 9, is one of 1,300 young carers in Lincolnshire, She helps look after her mum Becky who has kidney failure.
Young carers are defined as children under 18 who look after a relative with a physical or learning disability, mental health condition, long-term illness or who are affected by drugs or alcohol.
They carry out tasks such as monitoring medication, helping with day to day activities and household chores.
