David Todd, Chief Executive Office of Norwich and District Carers Forum said: “If you are looking after older or disabled relatives money matters – carers face higher bills and have often given up work to care. Our event will provide vital advice and information to anyone looking after a family member who is ill to make sure that the carer knows their rights to financial and practical support.”
Emily Holzhausen, Director of Policy at Carers UK said: “Families affected by illness or disability are facing tough times at the moment and it has never been more important that they know their rights. Families caring for older or disabled relatives save the UK a staggering £119 billion every year – we must ensure that carers get all the financial and practical support they are entitled to.”
