The London Olympic Organising Committee have just released the ticket prices for the London 2012 Paralympic Games which will take place between 29th August and 9th September 2012.
Unlike the “main” Olympics, these event tickets will be significantly cheaper with tickets as lot as £5 for those 16 and under, or 60 and over.
The committee has also pledged that 95 per cent of the tickets will be priced at £50 or less, with 75 per cent at £20 or less. This contrasts with ticket prices of hundreds of pounds in some cases for the more popular venues during the main Olympics or even £2000 for the very expensive seats. Even the Opening and Closing ceremonies will start at just £20.12 with a maximum price of £500.
Tickets will go on sale from the 9th September 2011 until 30th September 2011 from the London 2012 ticketting web site. Tickets offered from any other source are likely fraudulent.
The committee haven’t revealed how many tickets will be available or how many will be taken by corporate sponsors, but we can assume this probably won’t be as high as the numbers for the main Olympic games.
