HYNDBURN’S MP is backing the family of a disabled toddler ‘penalised’ because they have to care for him full time.

Two-year-old Finley Rosbotham’s amazing progress has recently seen him take his first steps despite having cerebral palsy and being born paralysed down one side and with part of his brain missing.

Wokingham borough has become the first unitary authority in the country to set up a company to manage its provision of social care.

Optalis, a new adult social care company set up and managed by Wokingham Borough Council, began commercial operations on Monday.

The team behind the company has taken control of all council-run or commissioned adult care services.

Today, thanks to medical advances, lots of people survive a heart attack. But this means that many people are living with a damaged heart. This can lead to heart failure, which affects more than 750,000 people in the UK.

Right now there’s no way to restore the damage to heart muscle caused by a heart attack so we can’t prevent heart failure, but there is hope
