Those dreadful nights on being a Carer

Accidents during the night are really hard to bear. There you were, lost to the world in your balanced linen, and the next moment you’re up to your arms in it. It’s at moments like these that the worst side of your nature comes to the fore. Carers have been known to swear at their piglets in the middle of the night, even though it never does any good, never did, and never will.

This is one of the reasons why it can be a better bet to set your alarm to go off twice a night, and to wake your piglet for a loo break. Once it has become routine for both of you, their bodies may respond in the way you hope, and you’ll be able to carry out the chore in your sleep, almost! A half-hour rest during the day is easily enough to compensate for the sleep lost during the night.
