Doctors will routinely use new broadband video technology to consult patients in their homes within “a year rather than a decade”, the NHS’s medical director has said.

Five young Norfolk carers who interviewed Oritse Williams from JLS before the pop band’s recent Carrow Road concert have put a video of their chat with him on YouTube.

The youngsters have lost carer services because of cuts to council funding and are campaigning to try and save some of the services, as part of National Carers Week.
The issue is close to the pop star’s heart as he cared for his mother from the age of 12, when she was diagnosed with MS.
