A Spurs book worth thousands of pounds will be sold by the Mayor of Haringey to raise money for charity.

The hand stitched and leather bound book concerns the 125-year history of the club and includes exclusive interviews from key Tottenham Hotspur players.

The 50cm by 50cm book, which is the largest produced about the club, weighs more than 30 kilos and is 800 pages long.

Money raised for the book, which contains 1,500 photographs, will be donated to the Haringey Carers Association.

The Mayor of Haringey, Councillor Gina Adamou, is supporting the charity this year to help the 16,000 unpaid carers in the borough.

The football club donated the book, which is one of a limited edition of 1,000, to the mayor to raise money for the cause.

Cllr Gina Adamou (Lab, Harringay), said: “These books are worth thousands of pounds and, kept in good condition, could be worth even more in years to come.

“This season has been an exciting one for Spurs both on and off the pitch, with a fantastic run in the Premier League, FA Cup dreams still alive and the commitment to a new stadium in Tottenham.

“This is a real chance for die-hard Spurs fans to celebrate that success by investing in a genuine piece of club history.

“I hope that people will dig deep and big bid to get their hands on this precious piece of memorabilia and support a great cause.”

Written bids for the book should include your full name, address and telephone number and the value of your bid and should be sent to The Mayor’s Parlour, Haringey Civic Centre, High Road, London N22 8LE.
