Marks unwell

Postby debzsanderson » 08 Feb 2015, 13:26

Had a bad couple of days with Mark. He's more unresponsive than usual, shaking and doesn't want to eat. Not impressed with the out of hours service-phoned midday and a doctor is coming out some time today. I have started antibiotics and give him regular liquid paracetamol but he won't eat. I thought he was under the "hospital admissions avoidance " team but apparent ly as it was a while ago they take you off it . Rang the hospice and they agree speaking to district nurses. I have no family support. I phoned Marks mum and she just said to let her know what's happening and his sister hasn't responded (she is only 4 miles away).

Dear Debz, sorry to hear Mark is very poorly again, what a shame Mark's family have no interest, seems to me they think out of sight out of mind, I don't know how they can be like that I really don't.

Thinking of you both h###u

Debs,
When you phoned Marks mum, did you tell her that you could not cope any more?

I'm struggling. Thought things were bad dealing with Marks Ms but we are both sleep deprived and mark is in a lot of pain. Doctor coming out soon but probably nothing he can do. Sister and his mum have text but both busy with work so not visiting.

He didn't get to sleep until around 2 am and I was up at 6.30 to give antibiotics. He seems a bit better today so when carer comes at 4 I can go to bed for a bit. Made a stew so tea will be easy. I need a break so might try and get an extra night carer and go to premier inn for a night. Thank you for caring xx
