Afternoon all, it is cold, was overcast this morning but the sun has now decided to come out. Been to the youth football club Christmas fayre, some nice things, bought a couple of Christmas decorated cupcakes, which mum and I had with a cup of tea. Hope everyone has a good day.

I love the tv on a Sunday night and watching Countryfile now.
But i have had to record the play with Michael Palin and and Sue Perkins in the far east.

I am looking forward to all the tv tonight.
Because it has been such a horrid day, you feel you want to sit in front of a roaring fire, and I dont have one, so I lit a lovely candle that had nice warming smells, it has done the trick.

I know what you mean Wendy, an open fire and a bit of crumpet (to toast !) Can't beat it.

I have been up and got the kit in the car and de frosted the car too! The NHS strike is on today so all our kit bags are out today. I will be on until 11 ish. Then the noise of sirens will be incredible as the strike finishes as they all dash out.

Beautiful sunrise here. Not always up to appreciate it!

waved my neighbour off. She is having her hysterectomy today. So she will be able to tell me all about it!

hope you all have a pleasant day and are warm and cosy.

Good morning, it is grey and miserable, no frost here, but very cold.

I have washing to do, I have changed the bed.

Getting ready for our 2 days away for my daughter's 50th birthday. She has no idea what we have planned. MY granddaughter and I are taking her to Chester tomorrow, where we are having B&B , lunch and dinner. Wednesday am, we are to deliver her to Chester Zoo for the day, where she is to be Zookeeper for the whole day, looking after the big cats. She will be ecstatic, as it is her dream job. We hope to have dinner in Chester and then return home late evening.

Hope you have a good day

Good morning, we had freezing fog overnight but it has now cleared, we were supposed to be going to see a friend this morning but the fog earlier and local traffic reports we cancelled much to my relief.

Have fun at Chester Annie

Good afternoon, arrived safely, b&b absolutely fab, plied us with coffee and home made cake on arrival, we walked into the city to Christmas market, just chill in in room (free wifi) now before we get ready to go out for dinner, to French Restaurant. Got cheeky bottle Prosecco in fridge for later.

evening all,

Your trip sounds wonderful Annie,

been on the boat today. we must be mad in this cold weather!! Came home earlier than usual as we were gettign frost bite!! Just had a hot bath to see if feeling in the extremities returns.

sam isn't very well. she has glandular fever. She has the most awful pain in her throat and is on antibiotics. she doesn't want me to come down and see her as she is home on the 13th anyway. Her friends are being great. This is the first time i haven't been there for her and it is awful. I feel so useless. we have text a lot as she can't speak at the moment with the pain and swelling. Hoping the meds work and she feels better soon.

Hope you have a lovely nifghts rest debz

thinking of you all

Good morning, it is another grey miserable start her in the north west.
We got back safely last night after being stuck on M 53 in stationery traffic, took us 2 1/2 hrs to get home.

Paula had a fabulous time as zookeeper, she got to feed the lions, cheetahs, painted dogs and otters. She couldn't believe she got so close to them, it was hard work though, & lots of cleaning up poo!!!!!

Remember" The Zoo" drama, about the start up of Chester ZOO? Well, the little girl, June, is in her 80s now & still visits & is on the board, although the family no longer own the zoo.

Rebecca and I went to Cheshire Oaks for a couple of hours & then went to the zoo, & Paual came & had lunch with us.

Hope you are feeling better today Wendy
Hope Sam feels better sooon Jane

Good morning, it's brighter here today thank goodness, I cannot believe it's almost the end of November, this year has gone so fast.

This afternoon I'll be getting everything ready to take for our carers rights day event tomorrow morning.

That sounds like it was a brilliant day at Chester Zoo Annie, I loved that programme about Chester Zoo.
