Bad night

Postby debzsanderson » 23 Feb 2014, 15:55

Last night a friend text me to say goodbye and that she loved me ...... I immediately sent a neighbour to check on her and she had taken a massive overdose. Anyway the neighbour bought her to my house and I got ambulance. It was a cry for help but really shook me up. Three hours later Mark became ill and I had to sit with him and hold him upright in his commode chair for three hours waiting for district nurses to come as he had a blocked catheter and really bad uti. I stayed up most the night making sure Mark was ok. He's sleeping right now so when carer comes in shortly I'm off to bed. This is Marks third course of antibiotics in a month which is starting to worry me now.

Dear Debz, sorry to  hear Mark has another UTI, unfortunately they are difficult to avoid with indwelling catheters.
I hope your friend will be alright, it's a worry you could have done without, you have enough to do caring for Mark.

Hope you get some rest tonight.  gpr  hu****

Dear Debs,
I had a strange feeling that something was wrong.
Have a good sleep now whilst you get the chance.  As Mo says, you could have done without this extra pressure.
Does your friend help you with caring for Mark, you need friends who help you.  I wish I was nearer.
Please take care of yourself.

tha22222 for caring . My friend has a lot of issues and her family aren't very supportive and I think she thinks of me as a sort of surrogate mum. Mark is very tired today and has basically slept all day. I need to get onto his gp tomorrow to assess what's going on because he can't keep having antibiotics every few weeks. I have spent the day tidying up the flat and washing! I need to eat and sleep thrn hopefully feel more alive.

I have left marks sister to look after mark for a couple of hours-I just needed some space. The doctor is doing a home visit so will see what he says. I'm exhausted and very tearful today. I'm angry that his family didn't offer support over the weekend. Karen even managed to have a party and has a hangover today-no comment about that. I am so grateful to have my chill family for support.

What a shame Mark's family don't support you both the way they should, to some people it's out of sight out of mind.

Enjoy your couple of hours out Debz you deserve a break.

va&&&& va&&&& va&&&& va&&&&

Sorry you are having such a hard time with Mark and your friend.

It must be difficult to juggle both. Hoping the uti is better soon. I'm not surprised you are worried about him having so much anti b's.

Glad you had a time out.

Be thinking of you

Huge hugs you a amazing lady gpr
