Wont be able to join in but my question is....
If our carees are of sound mind and over 18 and refuse all services etc, why are we familily unpaid carers ignored?
My carers centre told me that unless my caree agrees to services, assesment etc, they cant help me and they dont.
(but if I can find time to go to them, I can have a nice coffee morning, or watch a film, or have a nice chat with other carers who have lots of time to volunteer!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!Duhhhhh!)
My gp told me that unless my caree agrees to all services help etc , she cant do anything, Its all due to patient confidentiallity regs and right of choice .
Social services told me the same thing too.
So did the crisis team ,
So where does that leave family unpaid carers like some of us here?
