Well Wendy ! I'm delighted  you have got it sorted...If you really feel you have the energy to go & want 'to go for it'...Then it's great you will have your ticket paid for from whatever source !....

Olwen here, just read your article and I thought I had it hard looking after my husband with dementia.  I agree with your lack of help and the fact that people
disappear from your life when you need them to be there for you.

I'm glad you've brought my story to the top Maggie, that was in the paper almost 2 years ago and my caring role have changed a bit since then with losing mum a month ago and my daughter now lives in a bungalow opposite me which makes live a bit easier for me from a travelling point of view.

The article was in paper Feb 11, 2009, I have been a past carer since 2013.

For anyone who is a carer now make the most of everyday you have with the loved one you are caring for, I did.
