For my youngest Grandson

Unable to sleep tonight so, thinking back to my Grandchildren's last visit inspired the following:-

"Close the front room door lad,
Your Grans inside
With her dreams inside
And her tears inside.

It's no use trying to climb into her lap,
Even though you are just a little chap,
She does not see you for what you are,
A 2 years old, shining star.

She has no cuddles for you at all,
As she sits and stares at the front room wall.
Yes, she used read for your Mam and Uncle Paul
Stories of pirates, princesses and a dinosaur.

Come, save your Tractor book for another day,
And slowly, quietly creep away.
Shall we make some nice jam pies?
No lad, those are not tears in my eyes.

So close the front room door, lad,
Your Gran's inside
With her dreams inside
And her tears inside.

what a shame it isnt in the public part of Chill, it would be seen by many more carers.
Please  let us know if you wish us to move it.
