I'm sorry

Postby debzsanderson » 02 Sep 2014, 00:06

I am so sorry for my lack of support to you all . I think my stress levels are reaching boiling point now.  The negative response I have received from  the care agency means that the only carer they can supply this week to cover most the hours has been in this country a week (she is Romanian) with very poor spoken and understanding of English. It means that I can't relax and enjoy my half hour relaxing shower and I doubt she can cook anything English. Mark is stable again for now but all this stress isn't good for him. We are looking into ditching the agency and employing a couple of p.a's but not sure how that would work. I could really do with a break but of course i don't get luxuries like that. Goodnight and thankyou for caring xx

So sorry to hear you are having so many problems with care agency but am not surprised, I would suggest you mention CQC to this agency if you have problems with not being able to understand this carer, I would also suggest you speak to continuing care contact for advise, they do a scheme where they help with finding care and help with your account, we were in process of this but sadly never got to use it.

We had similar problems with our first care agency - they were totally useless.  Paul's social worker had him put into respite and while he was there I found another agency, and they have been absolutely brilliant.  Look for another agency Debz.  Good luck, our thoughts and prayers are with you xx
