Does anyone know of an effective slug and snail killer that is safe around pets and birds.
I did get some from a big diy store but it doesn't work and when the granuals get wet it turns into a thick porridge like gloop.
Grateful for any advice please.

If irremember there was a post on chill a coup, e of years ago about cucumber in a baking tray that deterred slugs. Also putting salt or ashes around your pots or borders.

It I'd is a pot plant smearing vase line around the top which you could add salt to deters them. That should be pet friendly too.

i hope that helps

xx

Copper tape, beer in a jar or holly branches or something prickly as they won't go over that.

coffee granules help as well, I pour loads of them around the plants, but I think as Maureen says the best way is copper.
