A female ginger blackbird has been spotted in a garden in Barford, near Norwich.



Mandy Periam, from Golden Pightle, said: “The blackbird has been nesting in our garden about a week. We first spotted something unusual about the male blackbird, which has a white rim around its eye. The male has a bit of ginger in him, but the female is all ginger. We will have to wait and see what colour their babies are.”

Why are we getting strange mutations of birds at the moment? We have a blackbird with white tail feathers round here.
