Hunstanton looks set to feature on the ITV show Warwick’s Homegrown Holidays after film and TV star Warwick Davis did some filming in the town.
Warwick, who has featured in films such as Star Wars and Harry Potter, owned a caravan in Heacham until recently and was once a regular face in the town.
Last week, he arrived in Hunstanton with his family and a film crew and went out with the lifeboat as well as filming at the sailing club end of the beach.
Ian Devenney, who was the hovercraft pilot, said: “He was a proper gentleman. There were a lot of people around asking for autographs and he was happy to give them and have pictures taken with people.”
The crew had a bit of a struggle to fit Warwick’s 3ft 6ins frame out with the necessary kit for his trip, but Mr Devenney said he took it all in good humour.
“He was actually very funny about it,” he said.
Warwick, who does not swim, was lowered into the water by the crew, which also included Tim Richardson and Victor Dade, for a mock-rescue.
Warwick is presenter of Warwick’s Homegrown Holidays where he travels the country with his family in a campervan. The series is due to air from February.
