I found this site this am by accident ... if you click anywhere on the map it will show you a list of streaming webcams (live feed) of webcams all over the country ...  then just click on the place you would like to watch - might come in  handy if we get that bad weather they have forecast ?

tha22222 Liz, but I am afraid It doesn't work for Lancashire , you  get Merseyside  instead.

Sorry to hear that, I guess they lump areas together even though they are different counties, but spurred on by this I had a search on Google for Lancashire webcams and found this one

If you scroll down to Lancashire they seem to have four webcams, don't think they are live feed though, just change every few seconds but at least you could check the weather ???
