http://www.amazon.co.uk/BMA-Carers-Manu ... ers+manualCame across this today when I popped into the library for a few mins to return a book of my daughters.
It looks very readable with lots of good information and lots of pictures.
I will try to find time to read it over the weekend.
It was published last month.

Well I picked it up from the library today and cannot believe that they do not mention the Carers Trust only CUK
not once do they mention the internet for carers
I am glad I didnt buy the book

I think its an information book published mainly to help people who are new to caring.
It is a good book for new carers searching for information.

How could they miss out The Carers Trust and include CUK ?
the book is ok, if you get it from the library, but not worth all that money.
The Selfish Pigs guide is much better.

Selfish Pig is a great book... I also have another called "Now Where Did I Put My Glasses?" which is about looking after elderly parents

Hi, not saw this book but I do still dip in-and-out of the Selfish Pigs Guide to Caring - even after all these years. I don't know quite what exactly draws me back but I find it so very comforting especially when times are a bit difficult.
