its a good job you are not in your 20's then.
this was bound to happen, for the young people as they will be expected to live for longer.

I feel sorry for them, people are living longer, but not necessarily fitter. Many firms won't employ over 50s , never mind over 60s & what of those in physical jobs, they wont be able to carry on indefinitely. Can you honestly see 69 year old firefighters, policeman, nurses and builders?

I reckon the Government have raised the qualifying pension age to kill us off sooner so we can't claim the state pension.

I think this is terrible, the government are hoping people will die from too much work and it will save them paying out. I have to wait another six years for my old age pension, by then I will be 66.

I would feel terribly let down if like you I had to wait until I was 66 to get the pension.
Ross found these details and life expectancy rates for us, I have found it most interesting.
It is a good job we dont live in Sierra Leone, the life expectancy is only 46

The United Kingdom does not come out well and we are number 19
the life expectancy is 81.
and Japan has the longest life expectancy.
