Police lock up elderly in care crisis

My dad was once locked up by the police when he collapsed in the street with an epileptic fit, as he was coming round in his post-ictal state, he fought the paramedics , as he had no idea what was going on & the police took him away & put him in a cell. he wasn't charged however, once they knew the circumstances.
