I don't know if there is a technical answer to this as I haven't yet been able to find a reliable site, all the ones I have found people all pile in with various theories in how to do it. I have read about not keeping bananas in a fridge as they either go black when you get them out, or if they are too green they stop ripening altogether.
The one that I have found that works for me?
I don't like my bananas green, what you might call soft but not overdone so I don't buy too many at a time say three of four and leave them out for a day or two til they start to "turn" then put them in the fridge until I want them and take them out "on demand"..
Throwing this one open to anyone else who wants to offer a solution?

I once read on the web that parting bans from the bunch will have them last longer I found that it did.

The original TV series of Poldark ran from 5 October 1975 – 4 December 1977, two series with a total of 29 episodes

So far, the only reference I can find to hippo milk online is that it is an urban myth that it is pink. However, hippo's do secrete "sweat" is red, and apparently acts as a natural sunscreen
