Carers Learning Grants

* Carers Learning Grants are small grants for Norfolk Carers, to fund ‘learning course fees’ for a course or learning activity of your choice.

* Carers can apply once for a grant of up to £150.

* Courses can be one off workshops, regular classes or a course of lessons.

Learning Courses could include:

* Driving/Moped/Motorbike Lessons

* Leisure courses e.g. creative writing, art, photography, cookery, languages, music

* Distance learning, One to One tuition, Adult Education courses

* Sports and fitness courses e.g. swimming, yoga, gym or dance classes

* Employment related courses e.g. IT skills

* Courses for GCSEs. AS levels, A levels etc.

* Complementary therapies courses e.g. acupuncture, aromatherapy, massage

* Training to help you continue in your caring role e.g. lifting and handling, sign language

* Condition Specific Training e.g. dealing with challenging behaviour, first aid

I mentioned it at work to a lady who takes bookings for Ad Ed classes. She asked me to get some more info for her as she has had some carers ring her. I will be taking it in tomorrow.

Don't forget the "We Care Appeal" as well ...
