Do You Need To Refrigerate Butter? Here’s The Definitive Answer.

Should you refrigerate butter, or can you leave it out on the counter in a butter dish?

The simple answer is yes, most butter survives just fine without refrigeration. But any longer than a week on the countertop — or any warmer than 70 degrees Fahrenheit — could put it in a danger zone.

When you take the butter out of the fridge to use, dip the knife in hot water for a few seconds before spreading the butter and it will spread easier.x

We use to leave our butter out but it went to soft. Now keep it in the fridge and it spreads alright.
