Norfolk NHS chiefs are sitting on a £5.6m surplus - but can’t find £120,000 to save mental health helpline

Renewed calls have been made for investment into an under-threat mental health helpline after it emerged two of Norfolk’s four clinical commissioning groups (CCGs) are set to bank millions of pounds at the end of this financial year.

The Norwich and Central Norfolk Mind support line would cost health bosses just £120,000 to fund for a year – and ensure thousands of mentally ill callers are supported in their homes.
