Paul's Home

Hi sorry not been on much - very busy week with carers, doctors and social workers. Paul came home last Friday, we haven't been able to sit him out of bed yet because the sling for the hoist is the wrong type. He as really slipped back and lost a lot of the things he used to be able to do - I can't believe the difference from before he went in hospital 6 weeks ago to now. I'm having to spoon feed him a lot of the time, he can't sign his name - or even copy it if I write it, his speech is almost non-existent. He's lost interest in practically everything and is hardly eating anything. Yesterday morning he had an absence which is a form of seizure while the carers were here, so I got straight onto dr. I've missed 2 calls from them so I will call them tomorrow. I can't really leave him alone much in case he has any more fits, so if I want to go to my craft groups, I have to get a carer from another agency to come and sit with him. I'm ok - Paul always wants to settle at 9pm so I then go to bed, which is why I've not been on chat lately. I can't leave the modem plugged in because it flashes and it can cause Paul to fit.

Sorry to hear you are having a difficult time with Paul, I've been in difficult situations so have an idea what it feels like not being able to have time for yourself.
Can the modem be moved out of the room Paul is in or could you cover it up or turn it around, these days you don't need the router near the PC/laptop, my router is out of sight.

sadly the router can't be moved because it is connected to our virgin system - and the Tivo box, TV and modem are all connected to each other. It won't be a problem when Paul gets his bedroom built, but for now I'm a bit stuck.
