I don't know about you, but I have two friends who will not learn how to use emails or the internet, and leave it all to their husbands.
Now one of the husbands has died, this friend is having to have someone get into the emails of her late husband, and then she is having to have lessons on how to use it.
I have told this to my other friend in the hope that she gets her husband to teach her what to do.
What a shame they didnt learn from their husbands when they tried to teach them.

This is a common occurrence, often the wife (or husband)doesn't drive either, nor deal with any of the banking

That must be a huge problem where the husband or wife have left responsibility to the other one, women fought for equal rights but some did not move forward with it, I've always maintained my independence with driving, banking, Internet etc
I hope these people are able to get help with these things

It must be so difficult to learn so many new things when you have had someone to do them for you.
I do the banking etc but even if it wasn't out of necessity I would n't like to rely totally on my husband to do these for me.
May be i am just a bit of a control freak though!

We have most bills set up in Marks bank account on Direct Debit and a couple that I log into and pay directly from his account by bill payment. I do worry that Mark pays all the bills through his account but I feel it's nice he has control of something even though he's so disabled now.
