Megan Adams, a member of the group Poppy Girls, was shocked when her serving father turned up to her performance at the Royal Albert Hall.
She finished performing the Poppy Appeal single The Call - No Need to Say Goodbye - when the host of the concert Huw Edwards announced the surprise.
As her father walked down the steps towards his daughter, she burst into tears and shouted "Daddy!".

I was going to watch last night's service today on iPlayer but after reading about this in the paper this am I decided not to.
I felt it was unfair on the young girl to do that so publicly at such a highly emotional event, I felt it was something that should have been done in private not in front of how ever many people were at the service there, and however many millions watching on TV.

We watched this last night and you couldn't help but have tears in your eyes, I thought it was a wonderful thing they did bringing that little girls daddy home to see her sing before the Queen, before she knew her daddy was there she was being comforted by the other girls because she thought her daddy would not see her special performance.
It was such a special moment between father and daughter and I feel privileged to have seen it, it just highlights the difficulties service men and women and their families go through while away fighting in conflicts all over the world.

I thought it was a truly special moment, and it made me cry.
Bless them for doing it that way, so the little girl sang her heart out for her dear daddy, who she thought was serving abroad, and then the wonderful surprise for her.
It was perfect.
