Apple crumble

We had a delicious apple crumble for tea made with some windfall apples.

Crumble topping:-
4oz plain flour, pinch cinnamon, 1oz oats, 1oz oatmeal, 1oz sugar, 2ozs butter. Mix dry ingredients together and rub in butter.

Peel and slice 2 apples, place in dish and sprinkle with a little sugar. Sprinkle crumble topping on top, bake in preheated oven at 180 for 50 mins. Serve warm.

I think my tummy is rumbling with the thought of that.

Sounds very healthy too. Where was the serving suggestion of custard (lashings of!!)

It is so much better with the oats in. I like mine hot but with yoghurt rather than custard

I do apologise, I should have added 'serve with lashings of custard, cream and/or icecream tha22222

I use oats I don't have custard I have yogurt like annie,sorry stan as custard

Sounds good, I have never made it with oats before. I have some apples, I may make a crumble for Sunday. x Jeanne
