UK enjoys early spring weather with warmest day of the year  derf derf derf

Britain enjoys unseasonably warm temperatures and spring weather after storm misery
Britain has basked in sunshine with temperatures reaching almost 59F (15C) on the warmest day of the year.

Heathrow Airport saw a high temperature of 59F (14.9 C), more than twice the normal average for February.

Temperatures in Surrey, Suffolk, Norfolk, Kent and Essex also peaked at more than 57F (14C) earlier today.

Temperatures are expected to stay unseasonably warm for the rest of the week, although unsettled weather will return by the weekend.

The average temperature for February in England is usually 43F (6C), but much milder weather was seen across the country.
