National Grid warns of 'brown-outs' in supplies to prevent potential total black-outs

National Grid may have to reduce power to homes to prevent black-outs
The first brown-out could come within ten days, leaving TV screens blank
Comes after older power stations have been shut and not been replaced

I hated the power cuts in the 80s, we are going backwards

the more I get older I am realizing that things do come and go, I bet we go back to bad times to make us appreciate the good.
Because when we had the good times. I expect people still moaned.
Even now our times are good compared to a 3rd world country.
What is happening is life, and it makes me want to emigrate to a little island somewhere.

That takes me back to the old power cuts in the 1970's... sitting by a coal fire playing droughts or monopoly ... Mum mkaing toast on the coal fire ..

I remember feeding Ross as a baby by candle light.
