Chip Week  - I'll bet you didn't know that we would need the entire area of Wembley Football Stadium to grow all the chips required for Britain each year!  There is just no denying it - we all love chips!

More than that it's just a general celebration of chips!  So which condiment do you like with your chips - mayo, tomato ketchup, brown sauce or just plain old salt and vinegar?  There are some great recipes you can try out - some are just for fun and tastiness and others are a more healthy option!  Visit the official website to find recipes and facts on why chips smell so good.

When Charles Dickens was around Britain had fried fish warehouses - shops that sold fish and bread.  But a few decades later we discovered how delicious it was to add chips - and our fish and chip shops were born!

And never mind canapes and fancy food at celebrity weddings - the likes of Steven Gerrard and Alex Curran, Wayne Rooney and Coleen Mcloughlin have all requested potato chips at their big days - according to rumour!

Some of the oven chips I found to be quite greasy, if potato chips are cooked in a quality oil at a high temp they don't absorb so much fat.

I reckon the cafe across the road does some of the best chips - lovely n crispy on the outside, light n fluffy inside, and piping hot
