I think this painting is amazing. The light and the tiling are magnificent, what do you think?
She is pictured in Westminster Abbey, her brow furrowed in a moment of solitary reflection as she stands on the spot where she was crowned 60 years ago. Sydney-born artist Ralph Heimans said he sought to capture 'her humanity' in the 9ft by 11ft portrait, commissioned by the Palace to mark the Diamond Jubilee.

I think that this is the most wonderful portrait of the Queen that I have seen for a very long time, and using the setting of the Abbey was great, it is a very beautiful place, and full of history. I have been there many times, but not for quite a few years now. It is only about 20 minutes from where I live. x Jeanne

I would love to see this - so beautiful and majestic. I have visited Westminster Abbey many years ago and wish I could again.
