Christmas safety

A CAMPAIGN aimed at providing Christmas related crime prevention advice has been launched.

Run by North Wales Police it offers advice about keeping your home safe to avoid becoming the victim of fraud.

On each day of the campaign police will use social networking to tweet crime prevention advice, and there will also be an advent-style calendar on the homepage of the force website, which, by the click of a button, will take you to the latest Christmas safety news.

You can follow North Wales Police on Twitter @NWPolice and the campaign will use the hashtag #NWP12days.

Champion donor

A BLOOD donor from Llandudno has received an award for donating for 48 years.

Graham Tovey, a 69-year-old retired accountant, said: “I was prompted to start giving blood to help others and also my dad was a blood donor.

“It is very worthwhile and helps to save lives.”

He was presented with his award at a ceremony in Chester.
