Campaigners launch formal complaint against Norfolk County Council

Claims disabled people are losing vital support

A campaign group representing disabled people in Norfolk has submitted a formal complaint over claims an increasing number of disabled and vulnerable people have seen the support they receive cut by Norfolk County Council.
Equal Lives has submitted the complaint to the Care Quality Commission (CQC) urging them to investigate what it claims are systematic failures by those at County Hall and a disregard for its statutory duties under the Care Act.

Queen receives teddy bears at hospice opening

The Queen yesterday officially opened a new £3.4 million facility for The Norfolk Hospice, Tapping House.

Located in the village of Hillington, the hospice is a just over three miles from Sandringham Estate.

Dressed in a teal Peter Enrione collared dress and coat, The Queen met Jack Plummer from King’s Lynn, his mother Amee Walton died in 2013 from a brain tumour at the young age of 29.
